Online Personal Training success story. Tarrah Lukic.
One of the biggest reasons for failure when it comes to people setting fitness goals, whether it be running a marathon, losing weight, whatever…. usually comes down to lack of knowledge, but more importantly lack of will, accountability and support.
If you follow a simple, proven system (specifically tailored nutrition and exercise), and keep yourself surrounded with others trying to achieve similar goals, then you will more often than not, get the results you are looking for.
Tarrah approached me so I could help her improve her fitness and lose a considerable amount of weight. I was unable to train her personally due to time restrictions and location, so we decided to conduct the training on a remote basis, with the focus being on mindset and support, over exercise and nutrition. The reason for this? Tarrah had not been able to stick to any fitness related goals for over a decade, and the problem was not her nutrition or training, instead it was her mindset to make it sustainable. I taught everything she needed to know about making the correct food choices, and the ideal exercise plan that worked for her, but once she was versed in these areas, it was more about keeping her on track.
We started by developing her goals, breaking them down into mini milestones, and making them easily achievable.
Our first goal was to lose 10kg over 20 weeks… or 500g per week. Easily achievable and that was smashed in 12 weeks!! Solid work tarsy! Her second goals was to a little more challenging.. to lose 5kg in 5 weeks, and she also reached that goal!!! here is her story.
Wedelved deep into her motivation for why she wanted to achieve these goals, and reflected on the different emotions that would occur when she did/or did not reach them. This highlighted her pain trigger, and became extremely helpful in keeping her on track, and allowing herself the time to form good habits. Tarrah and I had to stay in touch almost daily, via text, to help her through the tough times, and praise the accomplishments. Tarrah started to see incredible results almost immediately, and we decided to start an online support group, whereby anyone who had a fitness related goal could join, and the community of like-minded people would support one another through their journey. Tarrah and I partnered up and started HLS (Healthy Lifestyle Support) Online.
I bring my fitness knowledge and motivation to the group, whilst Tarrah, a professional chef, brings healthy and unique recipes to the group – and a whole lot of support and motivation also. Tarrah’s real life success story that is relatable to so many, really makes her the motivational force within the group.
But it is not Tarrah and I that make HLS what it is, it is the combination of every member that is there for you whenever you need the support, have a question, or temptation is close to getting the better of you.
We are helping many men and woman take back control and reach their goals. If you are serious about making change, but are struggling to get started or simply cant get back into it, then we are here for you. Simply search ‘Healthy Lifestyle Support (HLS) online’ on Facebook, and ask to join.
Stay healthy,
